If I was homeless in New York

I'd ride the Staten Island Ferry all day

Just to get me some warmth, a time to sleep for free and contemplate

Oh blue blue water, paired with a blue blue sky

It might make me not feel so blue about my life

If I was homeless in New York, I'd ride the statin island ferry all day

Short of money, short of friends

Don't know when I'm gonna meet the end

But the day is sunny and I'm in a city and I've still got what can't expend

Oh blue blue water, paired with a blue blue sky

It might make me not feel so blue about my life

I'm short of money, I'm short of friends

but life is good I can't pretend

'cause i know the Staten Island Ferry like the back of my hand...

If I was homeless in New York

The only thing that'd keep me from leaving would be that boat
